I have two, a hyper active and rather dog-like boy named Storm and an older tabby who is the definition of a scaredy cat, she'll literally bite your hand and run, no matter what, if you dont let her inspect it first. Her name is Jingle Bell. Typically, Storm attempts to play with Jingle Bell, and Jingle Bell tries to get away from him, because she doesn't want to. Though there are a few times where they'll sleep together and they'll tolerate eachother otherwise, though if you try to pet them both at the same time one will get mad at you and walk away.

Despite the attitude storm puts forth of being dominant whenever other people come over he freaks out and hides, where as Jingle Bell will just avoid them. Finally, you can actually play fetch with storm, no training needed.

I adore cats, I like them a lot more than dogs, though I do like dogs a lot as well. My family has two American shorthairs, Cleopatra (we just call her Cleo) and Colonel Gravy (we just call him Gravy). They're both great, though I like Gravy more because he's much more affectionate.

We have three. The oldest is a black and white a"tuxedo" cat named Boots. He apparently belonged to the previous occupants of our house and is very tame. Fixed male to the best of our knowledge.

Next is Bits, all black male who showed up as a kitten early this year. Cool but aggressive and dumb as a box of rocks.

The youngest is Nubbins, a gray tailess (a Rumpy riser Manx (Look it up  )). Her momma brought her a set her at my feet when her eyes were still closed. I was the first human to handle her and we think she imprinted on me.

I also feed various neighborhood strays, including a black I call Balls. He is most definitely male.

My relatives often call her Sophie as an affectionate nickname. You can see her photo in my OOC factbook.

Do you own any cats?

If so, what kind?

I and my mother own two cats though I'm unsure what kind they are. Yet, they're black and white. One has a white moustache and one has a white stripe on her nose. Both are very fluffy and loving. :p

Cats are wonderful companions but don't allow them into your room at night unless you're nocturnal too because they will wail and wail to get out and that's annoying.

Aw. My cat Jake sleeps with me, and he has a teddy bear he loves. According to my mom, when I’m not home he carries it around the house and cries.

Also does anyone else have like a hundred nicknames they call their cat?

Yes, and almost all of them are insulting.

I have two. Mary and Schrödinger are sisters from the same litter and have almost identical markings, which confuses the hell out of my neighbours when they talk to me about what my cat is up to and I ask them to tell me which one.

Jake literally nudges me into one tiny corner of my bed while he hogs the rest. He’s almost pushed me out of bed before.

That's what cats are for after all. They're rude, but they're so nice about it.

I had a cat for 7 months. She was a foster cat from a local shelter and she needed help becoming socialised again after her first owner died and she spent a few days in the house with the body. She had a whole bunch of issues.

I wasn't in a position to keep her longer than that. Apparently I did a good job because the shelter keeps calling me to take in more cats that need help.

But I miss Molly.

That is very sweet of you, Sniffage. Many cats do need just that, loving fostering so that they can then become adoptable again.

Cats are a considerable drain on the economy. Back in the day, they caught rats, but now? They lounge around, piss everywhere, and once you get too many, you fall into a vortex of despair.

I had a lot of control over who she was adopted out to. They had to come to my house to meet her. I agreed to the family that had 3 kids, the youngest a girl called Molly. The two young girls figured out quickly that Molly (cat) was a belly rub slut.

Ah, exposing belly like a hussy, huh? Slattern. :p

Honestly, if she was exposing belly that way for rubs, she was very comfortable with the adoptive family and that's good. It means that whatever work you did during her fostering period was good. Cats don't easily get in such a vulnerable position unless they trust the person in question.

She was comfortable with me. The only person she ever ran away from was Arya, the woman from the shelter. She wouldn't even come hang with me if she was in the house.

Arya must have rubbed her the wrong way. Or if she was involved in rescuing Molly and mishandled her by accident... you know us cats, we're finicky!

We figured it was the scent of the cat sanctuary. With even the best of intentions, a concrete cell with a steel door is not a nice place to stay.
