You really don't have to pick one, because all extremists are not equal. Some extremists are much more dangerous than others. Radical Islamists kill a shitload more people than radical Buddhists, and far-right extremists in America have a body count in the thousands while the American far-left rarely goes beyond property crimes.

Leftism in general relies explicitly on the notion that their ideas of "progress" and "reason" contrast with a dumb right wing populace which is told what to think by a box in their living room or a man in a building with bells on top. The liberal envisions the old backward farmer in Idaho and the secondary-school educated factory worker in Coventry as representing right wing beliefs, and they believe they themselves are the ones who have intelligence and agency because they believe they've educated themselves enough to not just be told what to think (as ironic as that is.) Progressives a la Warren believe their presence on earth is a blessing upon us mere mortals, equivalent to Marxist academics in the past who thought their calling on this planet is to educate the plebs about what is good for them, and their role in such an achieved society would be a card-carrying member. This is why the outraged liberal columnists and street interviewees can't comprehend the increasing amount of young people who resist them, especially when they're educated on their bullshit and destroy their beliefs in front of them. The same beliefs they thought they were special for cultivating in contrast to their image of the old uneducated rural conservative. In reality, their beliefs are just an expression of hipsterism in the modern world that circulates over image and social portrayal. Which is why getting through to them that their beliefs and behavior are actually extremely common and enforced on them is a death nail for their insecurities, which are falsely covered under "individuality" and "uniqueness" as a coping mechanism.

The funniest part remains: tonnes of videos on Youtube of (college-graduated) people being asked why they're protesting in the midst of some rally, only to be met with some CNN soundbite as a response, to be repeated if asked to clarify or expand.

I wouldn't say "use of force", necessarily. As much as I agree with the Antifa, punching nazis isn't really productive, apart from being a good and healthy pasttime that we ought to return to. However, I would definitely support making it hard for them, the nazis, to function in a society. Dox them in every possible way. Don't sell to them or buy from them, don't give them jobs, disenfranchise them, don't make them eligible for basic public services (i.e. no law enforcement, no emergency aid, etc.).
Nazis (and fascists in general, in my opinion) should be forced to choose between being a Nazi and getting to live like a normal citizen of a country.
To add that, I would also say we ought to orcastize anyone who doesn't orcastize the nazis the same way.

The problem isn't opposition to fascism within itself, the problem is that antifa has become so radical that they started attacking and harassing non-fascist civilians in Portland just for trying to go on their daily commute. Do you support actions like that?
