You started this by challenging Ethel's statement that continued breastfeeding is bad for the teeth by saying "are you a pediatrician" and following it up with "only a doctor can say if it's doing damage." The thing you said had no real relationship to the thing they said.

I countered by pointing out that a physician is the proper source of medical advice. You are doing the equivalent of responding that a professional driver is a better source of information on good driving habits than some random on the street by pointing out that the way a character portrayed by a stunt driver in a crash scene is not a good example of safe driving.

When I'm flicking through this forum I keep reading 'Breastfeeding during a fight'. A strange image to get in my mind but mothers do protect their cubs when they're in danger.
