I support Right wing candidate Jair Bolsonaro of the Conservative Social Liberal Party, I am not Brazilian.

The elections in Brazil will be tomorrow. I would like to know the general opinion of NS and also of my Brazilian brothers. My vote is in Marina Silva.

I am an American, and I am sympathetic to Silva. I noticed that she her poll numbers have gone down quite a bit lately. Do you have any idea why?

Her third election, she's weak enough not to make a good campaign coverage and her proposals are mostly lukewarm.

...and so is Ciro Gomes, extremely popular among the youth (the same youth opposed to Bolsonaro for the same reasons). We're electing a president, not choosing a friend.

Also, just like in the US, what matters most is not the election of the president (yet it's still a big fucking deal), rather the composition of the Congress. And when it boils down to this...

tl;dr: We got a hung congress that's effectively shattered among 30 parties, of which none control anything above 11% of the seats.

I tried to arrange coalitions and/or interest groups, and I got something around this:
* ~210 seats pro-Bolsonaro
* ~140 seats pro-Haddad
* ~50 seats leaning towards Bolsonaro
* ~20 seats leaning towards Haddad
* ~100 seats leaning to neither side, our so-called "centrão" (read: flea market where votes towards any proposition are sold)

Simple majority -- the most common requirement for most legislations -- needs 257 seats, so while Bolsonaro does get a headstart, there'll be quite a huge struggle to do anything for the next four years, especially major reforms.

As a big fan of Lula Haddad is definitely the best candidate here. Bolsonaro ain't good.
