The perfect car.

Postby Rotten bacon » Tue Apr 06, 2010 7:22 pm

I got the idea from watching an episode of top gear. What kind of car do you consider to be the perfect car. Not just the best car of it's class, but the most absolutly best car ever made and why do you think so.

If I ever get enough money to buy a car I want to buy something like this:

(human powered vehicle) I consider it a car.

Its a veritable death trap with good gas mileage, and its cheap. The same goes for Nata's, except its apparently expensive- whats wrong with a bike again?

Mine is like a space capsule! Besides, this one is faster and has a little electric motor (powered by its motion during times when you were pedaling) to help you get up hills or give you a boost in speed if you need it.

And it is far more comfortable to sit in and it contains a very nice compartment to store groceries in.

The perfect car is an imaginary car that can turn into anything. And shoots rockets and whatnot.

the loses, the loses! (in efficiency)

I dunno, I enjoy having the wind blow through my hair- I can only imagine how hot the driver will get during the summer. Plus, I just use my backpack for groceries (something I had anyway), no need for a compartment.

Its not practical unless you live within a few miles of what you need. Or if you live anywhere that has a real climate. A little bit of wind and you're on your side, even a little bit of snow and your stuck. Roads are slick? You're left without a way to work.

So unless you live in a shopping mall, its useless.

Yes. Every car. Only forward, and at a 1:1 ratio of seconds to seconds.

But, can it go to 1955?

It is like a convertible... the top is removable so you can still get the wind in your hair. Also it's aerodynamic design and gears allow it to fairly easily go 35+ mph sustained on reasonably flat surfaces.

1967 Chevrolet Impala 4-door
It has the solid V8 Edlebrock engine, providing some serious horsepower for a sedan. It's incredibly spacious and comfortable while being able to hold its own in speed trials, and the solid construction makes it quite safe. It also accepts a supercharger fairly easily
