Ah, okay... So I never realized Uranus wasn't actually a town. The "Mayor" is just a guy who owns all the businesses in the area and built the "town", yes including the Fudge Factory. The Examiner looks to be independent of this. I'd guess that the Mayor doesn't like that someone else is making a Uranus business.

Sounds like a fun place, and it seems most people there actually know how to take a joke. The first things that show up in searches on the town show the water tower with "Home of the Pirates" (butt pirates?) and the Uranus Fudge Factory and General Store. Also, the Grauniad needs to visit Missouri or at least brush up on its geography. I don't know if I've driven through Uranus, but St. Louis, Kansas City and Jefferson which I have visited are decidedly Midwestern in looks and character, in addition to the state being surrounded by Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas, and only having one very long border with a decidedly southern state.
