That's closer to Muslim doctrine, actually. How do you feel about Muhammad?

This is the Gospel as taught by Jesus. He himself is the one who describes himself as such.

(John 5:17-18).
My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.' For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God

(John 7:28-29).
"Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, 'Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, but I know him because I am from him and he sent me'"

(John 10:30).
"Then they asked him, 'Where is your father?' 'You do not know me or my Father,' Jesus replied. 'If you knew me, you would know my Father also'" (John 8:19) "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'"

(John 8:58).
"I and the Father are one"

(John 17:20-21)
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me"

but I digress and agree that this is not the main topic of this thread.

Jesus must be a really boring dude if all he wanted to talking about was God being his dad.

Yeah, at least the old testament has stories of women turning into salt, oceans being divided, the destruction of entire cities.

The new testament has a guy praising his dad and a guy being eaten by a whale... *Yawn*

To be fair, Jesus turned water into wine so... i'd prefer to hang around him.

Bluth had some highly idiosyncratic ideas on theology; but for someone who was taking an avocational interest in the subject, he was exceptionally well-informed on the early history of Christianity.

It was an interesting juxtaposition.

Too late for reform of the Catholic Church. It's rotten to the core.

Not sure I agree with the later. I think it has serious issues, and needs to decide if it cares more about image then it does the "sheep" under its care.

It already made that decision decades ago when it chose to protect abusers instead of outing and removing them. Too late to turn back now.

A school isn't a religion who's belief system is violated by mandated reporting.

The belief system of said religion is stupid if it is violated by its members being compelled too not cover up criminal abuses committed by its members.

That's not even Christian at that point. To be a Christian you have to accept Jesus as your savior and Lord. Else it's something else entirely.

Indeed.
