My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.' For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God
"Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, 'Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, but I know him because I am from him and he sent me'"
"Then they asked him, 'Where is your father?' 'You do not know me or my Father,' Jesus replied. 'If you knew me, you would know my Father also'" (John 8:19) "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'"
"I and the Father are one"
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me"

And I disagree. But I digress, this thread ain't about that.
This is the Gospel as taught by Jesus. He himself is the one who describes himself as such.

Jesus must be a really boring dude if all he wanted to talking about was God being his dad.

Yeah, at least the old testament has stories of women turning into salt, oceans being divided, the destruction of entire cities.
The new testament has a guy praising his dad and a guy being eaten by a whale... *Yawn*
To be fair, Jesus turned water into wine so... i'd prefer to hang around him.

Too late for reform of the Catholic Church. It's rotten to the core.
Not sure I agree with the later. I think it has serious issues, and needs to decide if it cares more about image then it does the "sheep" under its care.

That's not even Christian at that point. To be a Christian you have to accept Jesus as your savior and Lord. Else it's something else entirely.

Indeed. You can say Jesus was a Great Teacher TM blessed are the Peacemakers etc but you are rejecting Huge chunks of Teachings you don't like I am the Way the Truth and the Light etc. You are choosing which bits you like on an Industrial scale. You aint a Christ-ist, you are a You-ist because you belive the Teachings that you choose. Amen Selah

You're all missing the point. Torrocca believes that Jesus is the Christ, but not the messiah
Messiah= Annointed One
Christ= Annointed One
Christ=Messiah
They're synonymous!
