Now the EU will censor copyrighted images and content, which also include parodies and non-profit works. Smaller companies are basically screwed now and won't be able to compete.

Not to be dramatic or anything but this could very much be the end of the internet as we know it.

EDIT: When I made this thread I had just found out the article had been passed and I was pretty bummed out about it. Thus, my opening post looks a bit exaggerated. No, this probably won't be the end of the internet as we know it and this doesn't directly ban memes. However, I'm personally still against this law.

On January 2019, the final vote will be held for it to be implemented in the EU member states. So if you oppose Article 13, the fight is not over yet.
