Because he is the best keeper we possess who could have started the match, and he had a magnificent display in goal.

It's because Wenger is stupid. Instead of buying Polish puppies he should employ their breeder. I'm pretty sure this guy would be happy with 100k pounds/year.

You will probably safely win two of your four remaining games, with that - all you need is a point from the Arsenal and Chelsea games to win the league - I'd say you have it now.

Just read about Jose's tirade. Finally a manager willing to say what everyone else thinks, that UEFA gives Barca refs that favor them. Love him or hate him, gotta respect him for saying what is really on his mind.

1. Pepe deserved to be sent off. People don't want to see pictures like this. Not to mention he's a psycho.
2. Mourinho was sent off for being an asshole. The more enemies he will make of the referees the more often we'll be seeing him whining.

I like how you're helping to pave the way of arse-kissing for when he takes over at Man Utd after Fergie finally goes. Getting your practice in early is the key to success.

Star I thought that Fergie was pretty keen on ol' Moyes taking over after he left? Well, that's what my Man U crazy flat-mate told me.. Wouldn't surprise me - with an average team Everton somehow manage to finish as best of the rest pretty consistently.

Edit: slash maybe Fergie and Moyesy just get along well... Yeah, probably more likely.

Pepe didn't deserve to be sent off, it wasn't a malicious challenge, he barely caught the man and perhaps it was a yellow - certainly not a red.

I really do hate spanish football, the players all up in the referee's face, the diving.. Terrible.

In fairness, Mourinho does have the teensy kernel of a point about Barca and referees. Conspiracy or not, they have regularly benefited from absurdly poor officiating in the latter stages of the CL. Even Pepe's dismissal last night was dubious. Mourinho may well have acted appallingly otherwise, but his criticism of Barca's play-acting, and observations about their refereeing, was valid.

Apparently Fergie has said that Mourinho is the man who should be his successor - Man Utd would be pretty much untouchable with him there.
