Meh, Munich is just referring to United as a whole - not that incident specifically - which was a terrible occurence.

Then why bother leaving it in there? Come on man, 23 people died. Poor taste.

It isn't my song is it? I didn't make it up, just copied and pasted it. Yeah it is poor taste, but to be honest it's in the past now.

So it would, therefore, be acceptable forthwith to substitute Hillsborough or Heysel for Liverpool?

From my point of view, Mytannion's comments weren't in bad taste, just taken out of context.

Also why the fuck is Eboue still at Arsenal? He always fucks up every time he gets back into the team, I dont see how Wegner doesn't see that.

This season, you mean. Unfortunately everyone else predicted to be in the title race has been worse, while somehow Man Utd can play badly yet still win.

They weren't playing bad, they just weren't playing great. Ref let about half a dozen penalty shouts (with one legit from each side) go and gave a bizarre yellow for diving on one which was just kinda outrageous. Newcastle were up for the game and Giggs missed an empty netter from just about the spot. So, probably should have won, but oh well, just makes the run in a little more interesting.

Fergie's got a lot to do this summer - starting with clearing out some dead wood. To be honest, I figure he should be thinking about getting rid of Rio before too long. Can't stay healthy, he's lost a step or two, and his media presence is less-than-desirable. Smalling should do just fine with a few more games under his belt, and he's a good investment.

Show Hargreaves the door, he's a waste of salary at this point. Michael Owen, too - he's in the same injury boat as Rio. I've never much cared for Anderson, either - Fergie ought to sell him while he can still fetch a handsome fee.

Anderson is a whole different player to the one you bought, thanks to injury. Agree with Rio, totally, and as much as I love both of the Owens, They could be happy wherever there's a spare treatment table.

Plus, get rid of Michael Carrick, for the love of god. Then leave Scholes and Giggs to run and run until they drop then give them coaching positions. All you need after that is someone decent to replace Van der sar, then a quality Centre Back and maybe a Full-Back. Defensive midfielder (i.e. one who can tackle - Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, I'm looking at you here) wouldn't hurt.

I've heard talk of Neuer replacing Van der Saar, and that sounds about right to me. Might be a bit young, but keepers tend not to move around as much so I'm sure if there was a deal it'd be a long term affair. Jagielka could be a decent replacement for Rio - he's 28, but he's got more qualities years left in him than Rio has, and to be honest I'd rather have Jagielka as a mentor to the younger defenders than Rio.

As for the defensive mid spot - Scott Brown from Celtic would do the job quite nicely, I think. He's naturally defensive minded and is really playing below his level of ability in the SPL. He should be in the groove of getting regular caps for Scotland now, too, which will help his confidence going forward. It might be a bit of a reach, but I think he'd be a quality defensive midfielder, and if anyone can really unlock him, it's Fergie. I'm no Man United fan, but much respect to him.

Couldn't agree with this part more. Scott Brown is a real talent from what I have seen of him.

I hope in the summer we do strengthen the depth in the middle of the park. As has been said, Rio is getting up there in years and isnt the same player he used to be, and all our middies are getting long in the tooth or just have not blossomed into the kind of players they could have been. We're good on the wings, so long as Nani and Valencia maintain their level of ability and good up top, if Berbatov doesn't mind playing the rotation game with Hernandez. The key however, is getting a legit replacement for VdS, as he has saved our asses on more occasions than I care to admit.

Another exciting Spurs/Arsenal derby. Anyone know why Szczęsny got the start instead of Lehmann?
