Any idea why on Earth the Champions League has a theme tune?

Anyway, Houllier- STILL AN IDIOT. Eight or more players are now looking away from Villa Park for their futures thanks to our league position, the initial loss of the dressing-room and morale loss, and ultimately Gérard's new rule book. We might as well go down now, because either way we'll still have just as big an exodus.

Well, we're facing Argentina tonight. Last time we managed to hold them to a nil nil result, I wonder if it's too much to hope for the same or even do one better and actually beat Messi and co.

No...serious trouble would be bottom of the table and 10 points adrift...you have 8 games left...look at those around you and who they have to play...esp the last 4 games of the season.

My money is on Blackpool staying up

We've also got to play United, Arsenal and Bolton - all horrible fixtures - Bolton because they have had a bit of a renaissance this season and because it's a derby (kinda') so there is at least six points gone there although we may get a result against Bolton.

Because MON spent all the money then jumped ship as soon as it was going to run out (again), then Gerard comes in and tells players if they don't bother on the training field, then they don't get to go on the pitch when it matters.

Look at the state Liverpool were when he took sole charge, see how they stood were when he left and, more importantly, see the style of football they were playing - the man's no idiot, you'd just collected a lot of dead weight at the Villa that he's now having to deal with.

At their best, Argentina have always played great football in that manner. It's not like Pep Guardiola suddenly invented it with his team ;)

Sometimes I hate this game. We played like crap against Argentina but manage to get a draw but then we dominate Paraguay and lose. *shakes head*

If Blackburn hold, I think the title is all but decided after today's set of results.

Aye. Arsenal were a few weeks late in their annual Spring Collapse this year, though...

Actually, if Arsenal win their game in hand and the match against Man U, there'll only be one point in it.

HOULLIER- NINCOMPOOP. Yet another match we should've won goes amiss as we slump to 16th in the table. Is it not interesting how the old adage that England players play brilliantly for their club but not for England is reversed completely when that team is Aston Villa? Bloody hell.
