There was also this cock-up against Macedonia (incidentally his last England game - I wonder if this played a factor).
Please note that Mid Lothian is based on fantasy. Any references to anything/one/where that exists is completely coincidential.
Frequently used abbreviations: HoS = Head of State; HoG = Head of Government; ML = Mid Lothian; KSS - Kate Stephens-Smith.
Fancy an embassy in ML? Click me for details. (PS - I'll return the favour.)
I am usually rewriting stuff about Mid Lothian - just because it's true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.

Warning - Full-time Grammar Nazi at work. You have been warned. (I guess that's due to my mum being an English teacher. Also, don't use masculine words to describe me - my name is Rebecca, which is clearly a feminine name.)

Damn! I forgot about that one...yeah...awful.

On the flip side though he was a pretty damn good goalkeeper...wish we'd loaned him out to Peterborough rather than selling him for 4K...

Since Gigi seems to be a little fragile recently Manninger is very unlikely to leave Juve.

Pretty much my thoughts. What exactly does a captain do, anyways? Moral support? My God, if you've been playing football your whole life and are good enough to make the England team, I daresay you should be well past the point of really even needing a captain. It's all ceremony, it seems.

It's the old Captain Marvel, Bobby Moore, Bryan Robson thing really. It is wonderful when a captain a la Keane, Gerrard, Vieira or Terry does lead a successful team from the front, but no amount of priapic, raging bull masculinity and tub thumping can compensate for technical, tactical and psychological deficiencies on the scale England have in comparison to global rivals.

Blackpool are in serious trouble really, need some results to try and get us out of this thing. Hopefully Fulham will be the start of this, shame we have Arsenal the week after...

Just in case this page goes without one: HOULLIER- IDIOT. His cunning new plan to end player indiscipline and unrest at Villa has all the tact of the Coercive Acts of 1774, and will almost certainly have the same effect. I can seriously see us going down this year, and then it'll be a decade at least before we get back to our O'Neill-era position- if we ever do so. The Big Six are moving forward at a much quicker pace than us, and even one season in the Championship will see us lose a Hell of a lot of ground on them and one everybody else in the Premier League. Sunderland, for example, returned for good to the Premier League and spent almost £100mn in two or three seasons just to get lower-mid-table security. Only now, in this anomalous and open season almost a half decade after their return, are they doing any good.

Czechs just went up 1-0 over the Spaniards. Come on now, just hold on...

So much for that.

No...serious trouble would be bottom of the table and 10 points adrift...you have 8 games left...look at those around you and who they have to play...esp the last 4 games of the season.

My money is on Blackpool staying up

Yeah...am surprised Villa have imploded somewhat...but we did say at the beginning of the season you needed to get some new players in. Hang in there dude...
