I'm hoping that a Welsh team makes it to the Premier League for the first time.

It would be good indeed...even better if they stayed up. Of course that is any Welsh club barring dirty cheating bastard Cardiff.

You enjoy laughing at football players being injured? You disgust me.

Fair play to the scousers today though, I thought we looked pretty good until the first goal but after that I just couldn't see us scoring.

Carragher is still a twat though.

Oh go away, you didn't see Eduardo or Aaron Ramsey crying over their injuries - which were much worse than his.

Actually, I don't really expect anything less off a United fan - so biased towards your own team it is unbelievable - you all seem to think you deserve trophies and sympathy off people because of your history. And actually, you took what I said entirely out of context. I laughed at the fact he got back up and went over to the referee and then fell over in 'agony'. He wasn't even bothered about that, more worried about getting the hairdryer off Ferguson over his assist I expect.

Watch the baiting/trolling people.

As for the Liverpool - United match I'll say this, a loss here for United is actually a good thing. Maybe now we'll work to get rid of the complacency that's been creeping in.

No. If United, Barca, Madrid, Juve etc. are "big" clubs, Swansea certainly aren't medium. When was the last time you won anything, or played in the top flight?

To be honest I really haven't a clue where Swansea rank...but compared to Leeds they are a small club. However that should not in any way take away from what Swansea have accomplished...2nd in the Championship (and the moment beating Watford 1 - 0)...I think that is something of a major achievement as well as something to be proud of...

You " laughed at the fact he got back up and went over to the referee and then fell over in 'agony'"? Then why did you say "Nani crying... Aha, that made me laugh."?

Say what you mean chap, or don't get offending by people reply to what you actually post and not what our psychic powers tell us you mean.

Also, I'm a little annoyed by the rest of your post as well. I think we deserve trophies because we seem to keep winning them and we deserve to not have the Munich song sung at matches because mocking the dead is in very poor taste and quite likely to get the singer battered which goes against my opinions on football hooliganism, to wit, it's a bad thing.

I expect that next you'll tell me that I'm not even from Manchester.

I am.

And even as a United supporter, I'd like to register that the referee has been piss poor at the Camp Nou tonight. Even allowing for the standard imbalance in free kicks and cards given that clubs like Barca receive at home, to dismiss van Persie for playing on after the whistle with c.100,000 Catalans shouting is batshit stupid. But then Barca always get an easy ride in CL matches from referees: Stamford Bridge 2009 being the best example.

But the standard of officiating in the CL has been inconsistent for some time. Quite why UEFA don't institute a procedure for retrospective punishment and retrospective exculpation is beyond me. Fletcher would have been reprieved in 2009. And whoever Busquets dived to have dismissed in the semi-final at the Camp Nou last season.

What? I'm struggling to remember the referee even having a word when that happens in the SPL, so to send someone off for it seems incredibly bizarre.

Please note that Mid Lothian is based on fantasy. Any references to anything/one/where that exists is completely coincidential.
Frequently used abbreviations: HoS = Head of State; HoG = Head of Government; ML = Mid Lothian; KSS - Kate Stephens-Smith.
Fancy an embassy in ML? Click me for details. (PS - I'll return the favour.)
I am usually rewriting stuff about Mid Lothian - just because it's true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.

Warning - Full-time Grammar Nazi at work. You have been warned. (I guess that's due to my mum being an English teacher. Also, don't use masculine words to describe me - my name is Rebecca, which is clearly a feminine name.)

I agree re. Van Persie. I'm a little too drunk to remember the other incidents at the moment.

A kick into row Z I could understand the second yellow for, a quick take down and then shot on goal I can't.

Typical. Us Aston Villa supporters would've been able to tell you all a week ago how Arsenal aren't to be trusted to win a cup match.

The game tonight was a bit ruined by the sending off. Messi was sublime for the first goal though.
