Rangers fans are by far the worst in the UK. At least Man U doesn't have a reputation for being a Catholic team - that would just cause even more problems. It seems quite a few Rangers fans get arrested every time the Huns come to Easter Road to play Hibs.

Since nobody else has posted this, I will: Javier Mascherano moves from Liverpool to Barcelona for c.£17.5 million.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/8948564.stm

TBC thinks this is damn good business by Barca, given that they sold the inferior Yaya Toure to City earlier in the summer for c.£25 million. Hopefully Mascherano can perform a similar role for Iniesta and Xavi as Marcos Senna did previously when playing for Spain, and free up another position for an attacking player.

A sneaky bid for Sergi Busquets might be in order by somebody as well.

United is the catholic team in Manchester.

Think how many Irish fans we have.

I didn't think it had a real Catholic identity, though, the way Celtic or Hibs does.

Not the same, no, but just think about how many friendlies/testamonials we play with Celtic.

That's true. Either way the Rangers fans will probably cause some mischief, though, per usual.

In that case you're also the Asian team and the Southern team.

There is slightly more to it than that. It was an illustration.

So Arsenal 2 Blackburn 1...Walcott netbuster (literally as he broke the goal netting)...the more I see hi play the more I agree that he should be playing as a pure striker rather than a winger.

Arshavin (sp) had a really quite game until he popped up and scored the winning goal. Apparently he's a fashion graduate! Guess that explains the lavender coloured football boots...

Blackburn had one decent chance to equalise but Dunn shot straight at the keeper although to be fair Dunn was under pressure when he took the shot.

At the moment we (Leeds, best club in the entire universe etc etc) are leading Watford (remember them?) 1 - 0 :)

Wigan over Spurs, eh? Didn't see that one coming. Poor Cudicini, I feel bad for him. Finally fit after his nasty accident and now letting in a such a poor effort.

Bundesliga:

1. FC Kaiserslautern - FC Bayern München 2:0 (2:0)
FC Schalke 04 - Hannover 96 1:2 (0:1)
SV Werder Bremen - 1. FC Köln 4:2 (2:1)
VfL Wolfsburg - 1. FSV Mainz 05 3:4 (3:1)
Eintracht Frankfurt - Hamburger SV 1:3 (1:0)
1. FC Nürnberg - SC Freiburg 1:2 (1:1)
FC St. Pauli - 1899 Hoffenheim 0:1 (0:0)
Bayer Leverkusen - Borussia Mönchengladbach 3:6 (1:3) <=== Epicness here
VfB Stuttgart - Borussia Dortmund 1:3 (0:3)

39 goals in nine games, or 4 1/3 goals per game. Four major upsets (Lautern/ München, Schalke/ Hannover, Wolfsburg/ Mainz (3:0 behind, 3:4 end result), Leverkusen Mönchengladbach (Nine goals in one game)).

There's a reason why I say the Bundesliga is the most entertaining league of all.

It looks like Celtic is close to nabbing Stokes from my beloved Hibs. That's alright, though, the money will be nice. Buy a decent keeper.

Euro 2012 qualifying is getting ever closer. Looks like England (vs Bulgaria), the ROI (vs Armenia), Wales (vs Montenegro), and Scotland (vs Lithuania) should have a pretty good go of things, but NI (vs Slovenia) could very well get trounced.

Bugger, Bob Bradley was signed to a four year extension. I was really hoping we'd drop him and go with Klinsmann...

Another four years of tactical ineptitude, poor preparation, and a commitment to playing Bradley Jr a full 90 minutes despite his huge faults (such as constantly playing out of position and causing other CMs like Torres to not be on top of their game). Good going USSF -_-

Not too bothered. Fergie makes some horrible mistakes with signings but 11 leagues, 5 FA cups and 2 European cups is a record not to be sniffed at.

I trust Fergie's judgement over that of PSV. Bollocks though he may be at spending significant money, he has a good track record with surprise signings that other clubs turned down. Like one C. Ronaldo, who Wenger declined to sign a year previously doubting his talent.
