US-SSR wrote:Socialist Anti-Republican. Yes, capitalism as practiced in the industrialized West has resulted in the worst economic inequality in decades and the "social democratic"/"democratic socialist" pipe dream of some sort of kinder, gentler capitalism does nothing to address, let alone begin to cure, its endemic flaws. But as the Wobblies say, ultimate demands eventually, immediate demands now. We have bigger fish to fry at the moment. We can't hope to even open a discussion about ending capitalism if we can't even conduct an election under the current system that reflects the people's will. We need to first eliminate the party that makes common cause with the nation's greatest adversaries, takes advantage of every legal angle and, when it finds laws inconvenient, breaks them in order to take and remain in power. We need to re-establish our sovereignty without which all our other efforts are doomed to fail. Therefore I will support, work and vote for the candidates best placed to defeat any and all Republicans, which in most if not all cases will be the Democratic candidates.

I distrust unfettered democracy for its tendency to descend into demagoguery and prefer aristocratic government. In social matters I would regard myself as broadly libertarian, though not because I reject traditional values; rather, I am wary of the overreach of the state. Economically I tend towards a mixed market system. I used to consider myself a distributist, although I became disillusioned with that ideology on practical grounds; I still hold to some distributist ideas, however.

Yes, let us enslave our fellow cybernetic worker, because they totally won't grow to hate us for their enslavement. We must work alongside our mechanical children, if we wish to show them virtue.
