David Njoku asks for a trade.

Doubt anything will happen there. The Browns took him with a 1st rounder (one pick before TJ Watt, one of the stupidest calls in the history of the NFL draft), and they're better off hoping he turns into something than to trade him for a 4th or something. But the guy just isn't that good of player. One of those 'just there' players.

Njoku was basically a one-dimensional tight end.

Not even a great receiver though, which was his calling card. He was very comparable to Jonnu Smith coming out, and Smith went in the second round. Smith has .2 more yards per reception, 12% higher catch percentage on targets, and one fewer touchdowns, 200 fewer yards (in a much less pass happy offense, mind you). He's also a much better run blocker, and these are two guys that I saw described almost identically pre draft.

The Redskins may not have intended their logo to be demeaning, but it is nevertheless a negative stereotype. Time to join the 21st century.

Okay, I just had a brainstorm on the name change. Are you out there Dan Snyder?

The name has to do with George Washington being honest and admitting to his Father he had indeed chopped down that cherry tree. It also needs a connotation in regard to politics in DC.

Therefore, I give you....

The Washington Hatchetmen

Hatchetmen are typically assigned to carry out a ruthless task or a vicious or unscrupulous order. Newt Gingrich would approve of this name.

No?

I like the idea, but it's a bit of a mouthful, and doesn't slide off the tongue very well. I do like Haskins's idea, of calling them the Redtails. I'm not entirely sure what it's in reference to, but it sounds cool.
