I don't deny that there are guys out there who would be an improvement over Bortles, but it's pretty hard to can the guy who played well enough in a team effort to make the Conference Finals last season.

Completely disagree. He played well enough because of an insanely strong supporting cast. A plethora of all pros on the defense, a thousand yard rusher and strong offensive line and receiving core. He doesn’t elavate his team, and honestly he probably drags them down a bit. He’s good enough to win a ring with, maybe, with this squad, but in that case so is almost every starting quarterback in he national football league.

And perhaps one of the reasons the Jags can have such a supporting cast is because he isn't some elite QB gobbling up $20M of their cap space.

Getting paid less because he’s a bad QB. I think we just went full circle here.

To different conclusions. No one denies he's less talented than the average QB. But he's generally done what's been needed of him. Rather than building around the QB like most teams, the Jags have taken a different strategy, building up the other positions at the cost of a great QB. And it's working.

Reportedly, LeVeon Bell plans to join the Steelers during their Week 7 bye.

Can he just go away please?

Nope. I need 15 points out of Kelce tonight, plus whatever Demaryus Thomas does.

This is the first October in a long time that Wisconsinites care more about the Brewers than the Packers. That says a lot about how disappointing the Pack has been so far this year for fans.

"Doing what's best for him and his family" rings a little hollow when it's a matter of how many millions he's making. The worst case scenario is still more money per year than I'll probably see in my lifetime. Giving in to these drama queen players who make everything about themselves and don't give one shit about football? That's not how the Steelers operate, and I hope it never is.

LeVeon Bell cannot leave Pittsburgh soon enough. I pity the team that's willing to cave in and pay him the salary he's asking. I honestly hope no one does. At this point, I don't even want that loser on the field after the bye week. Just get him gone ASAP. Good riddance in advance for whenever he's not our problem anymore.

Now let's see if they can survive Jacksonville (or Sacksville), a far superior defense.

Don’t give one shit about football? Not to be rude, but that’s one of the most ignorant things I’ve ever seen. These guys are busting their asses, day in and day out, and if they didn’t care, then they wouldn’t still be in the league. You don’t have the success as a player that he’s had if you don’t care, and that’s facts. Everyone in that league is passionate about the game of football, or they pretty quickly fall out of relevance, and the league.

Secondly, okay, that would make some sense at almost any other position, but Le’Veon is a running back, and arguably the best in the NFL(I certainly think so). Look at Demario Murray. He failed to set himself up financially, and the touches caught up with him really quick. Hell, I think he was 29 when he retired. Le’Veon is making a smart play by not only preserving his body in order to prolong his career, but making sure he gets paid what he thinks he’s worth. He doesn’t want to burn out at 28 years old.

And the way the Steelers operate? Yes, but that’s a completely different view of it. The Steelers, in general, don’t pay their premier guys the money they deserve. Antonio Brown is really the only exception I’ve found to this rule.

Finally, once again, this isn’t high school or college. In the NFL, NBA, etc, loyalty to your team means virtually nothing. Because the team holds all the power. So why would Le’Veon take a contract, a one year deal, mind you, that gives him no security whatsoever and puts his body on the line for a team that he’s seen isn’t willing to give him any sort of future security? Look at Earl Thomas. Same thing there.

Rather than say “he doesn’t care about football,” “he’s a greedy little pig,” or “he’s making more money per year than I will in my lifetime,” (again, so does every good player in the NFL. So why don’t we just cap the salary at 5 mil per year?) let’s look at it from his view here. I mean damn, this will probably get him another year or two of elite production, and with a team that is willing to give him some financial security, and he’s going to be much better off for it, on and off the field.

Well, not bad/so-so for this week as I go 8-7. The biggest surprises are the Falcons, Lions, Colts, and Eagles (bastard penalties) losing with the Texans winning while the Ravens steal a win from the Steelers. I still maintain second as well, hoo-rah.

Week 4 Results:

Rams over Vikings
Packers over Bills

Falcons over Bengals
Lions over Cowboys
Colts over Texans

Patriots over Dolphins
Jaguars over Jets

Eagles over Titans
Buccaneers over Bears
Browns over Raiders

Seahawks over Cardinals
Saints over Giants
Chargers over 49ers

Steelers over Ravens
Chiefs over Broncos

Now comes Week 5 Predictions. I'm taking once again some big gambles here, especially with the Eagles, Jaguars, and 49ers here:

Patriots over Colts
Steelers over Falcons
Ravens over Browns
Broncos over Jets
Packers over Lions
Jaguars over Chiefs
Bengals over Dolphins
Panthers over Giants
Titans over Bills
Chargers over Raiders
49ers over Cardinals
Rams over Seahawks
Eagles over Vikings
Cowboys over Texans
Saints over Redskins
