Nope, they traded up and selected Jordan Love, a QB. This is going to shock Rodgers but it looks like the Packers are building for the future, like they did with Rodgers in 2005.

We’ll see. Hopefully it pans out.

Hopefully. There are still plenty of WR though that crop is slowly thinning and the Packers I see aren't in the best of draft positions. Still, you never know in the NFL: studs could be busts; unknowns stars.

Packers Jordan Love thing: Im not against it. I know there fans are upset but it wasn't a bad pick by any means, given he has a lot of potential and where else to develop than behind a future HOF'er who is on the decline but is still a very good QB.

Also, the Bills drafting Stefon Diggs with the 22nd overall pick was my favorite of the night ;)

My only issue with the Jordan Love selection is: WHY DID YOU TRADE UP FOR HIM!

They could have traded to first pick in the second round if they wanted, the first threat to him was Indy.

But seriously, the other teams ahead of you were:

Someone who picked a QB earlier that round
2 teams with 2 mvp nominees this year as QB and one who won
One team that just signed a QB to a large Contract

SERIOUSLY WHY DID YOU TRADE UP

The few Packers fans I know are speechless with this pick. I don't know if anyone saw it coming. The rest of the league drafted, well, more or less as expected. Not a lot of weirdness yet.

The only possible thing that I can think of was that another team was trying to leapfrog the Packers in the draft to select Love. So we panicked and traded up to get "our guy" (even though no one sees him that way). I don't know what other team would do that, but it's the only thing in my mind that rationalizes trading up to select Love.

The only other truly surprising pick was the Raiders selecting Damon Arnette, someone who wasn't a first round pick on virtually every draft board.

From here on out, all the rounds should go pretty quickly.

I wonder if the Saints will trade into Round 2. Bobby, Zack and Deuce are talking about it right now on The Big 870.

10 Draftees for LSU so far.

And now there are 5 or 6 LSU players on the Cleveland Browns. I see a pattern here...

Not disappointed with Titans picks. I would have liked them to grab Terrell Lewis, because they do need edge rusher help and Vic Beasley isn't going to cut it, but we also had needs at corner and running back, and the guy they snagged seems like a good option.

As for the Pack...what the hell are they doing? They have two solid running backs on the roster, round 2 is not the time to grab one. Didn't get Rodgers any help until round 3.

Maybe put these in a spoiler so that we don't have a huge text wall? (ex above). That said, do very much appreciate this. Cool to look at. Who the hell is Adam Trautman? I wouldn't have even known a Dayton guy got drafted honestly.

I think starting tomorrow I am just going to do each round separately. Then after the 7th Round, I will do a separate post with the final count for all of the rounds. That way one post will not have the long-ass list. I may come up with a better format, though. I'll figure it out later, though.

Maybe put a number for the number of picks, then do a horizontal list of the schools who had that number next to it.
