In recent NFL news Sterling Shepard has signed a 4 year, $41 million extension with the Giants. Looks like they'll be counting on Shepard to fill in the void left by Odell Beckham's exit.

I mean he's good but I don't think the Giants should be expecting him to turn into an Antonio Brown (#2 WR that becomes #1 after the "star receiver" left and becomes a fucking godly receiver.)

I agree. He's a quality guy, but I don't think he's the kind of difference maker they're now depending on him to be.

It's an NFL sized mess. This line from the AAF Players is quite telling "once we started looking at the facts, we saw that this is basically a wholesale betrayal of a group of people."

Sounds like the way most fans felt after the 2018 NFL playoffs. Betrayed (different reason though).

So...all this smacks of Roger Goodell and his billionaire pals. Pals like the son of NBC Sports kingpin Dick Ebersol. His boy Chuck. And former Colts GM Bill Polian who actually stomached working for the Irsays for umpteen years.
These guys with the massive $$$ in their eyes. Dreaming of cashing in on the hard work of others. Build a cheap bush league feeder system for NFL teams. Maybe even divert enough players to crash the CFL too? Who knows?

But money doesn't grow on trees and their failure to successfully launch the AAF is totally on them. But as usual many little people that do the hardest work get hurt. That's where their crew of soulless lawyers come in.

I see the plaintiffs are seeking treble damages. Heh. If this goes to trial I'd bet the defendants' legal team will be looking for a special jurist or two. Maybe find someone like the lady jurist who talked the other 5 jurists (under false pretenses) into awarding $1 to the USFL in the collusion case against the NFL back in 1985. Yep, the judge will adjust the award correctly she told them. WRONG! And that was 30+ years ago when overall the courts seemed more friendly to those less well heeled.

Anywho, lord knows what they'll come up with this time to dodge any responsibility. The NFL and it's deep pocket pals always find inventive and exclusive ways to slide by. I wish the best of luck to those financially injured by the whole AAF fiasco, but they'll likely need an act of God to prevail in court against these mofos ...and years and years of delays ...and motions for dismissal. smh.

I’d like to see the Saints go interior DL, OL, and then WR in the draft. Or maybe a bruiser of a runner to complement Kamara, but that didn’t work well with Peterson.

The Ravens 2019 schedule has leaked out... and honestly I have never seen a schedule for a team from Baltimore where road games and home games alternate for the entire season. Seriously, this is novel.

They start the season on Sept 8 in hot Miami and ended it with a game versus the Steelers at Baltimore Dec 29. The bye occurs in week eight followed by a home SNL game versus the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots on November 3.

The TNF game is fortunately AT HOME in BALTIMORE versus the NYJ in mid December. OTOH, there are 2 west coast trips, at Seattle and at LAR ...but really, I can't complain very much about this schedule.
