I would be the one who started that. It just seemed courteous. Plus it also gives people a chance to make picks without seeing who the competition is choosing, if they so wish.

I do it for the reasons you have stated. Otherwise it's in other poster's face and it can have an effect. But sometimes I can change my mind on a pick during the week and I don't spoiler that. Nobody else does either.

I watched a bit of the Seahawks game vs the 49ers last weekend and while no results were really exactly surprising, Seahawks really did seem to kick ass. The 49ers were so close to getting a score and the Seahawks straight up intercepted it and ran it across the entire place. And right near the end the 49ers were again about to score but the Seahawks would not let them have it even though they had like a 3 touchdown lead.

The Panthers game seemed really good too. While it was pretty even, the Panthers seemed to regularly have the upper hand but in the end, the Seahawks won. And kind of surprisingly too because if I recall, there was like barely any time left and they managed to catch up.

So, I've made it to the playoffs in Fantasy, but I have dilemma. Melvin Gordon is unfortunately out, but I have Ekelar in. Is he good, or should I go with someone like Justin Jackson or Curtis Samuel?

I pride myself on trying to see things from others' perspectives, even when I vehemently disagree. In this case, it's just stupid. There is no valid other perspective. This should not be any sort of offense, much less worthy of a fine. It's just a reminder of how poorly the league is run. What a joke.
