The Browns traded Carlos Hyde to Jacksonville. Apparently they like Nick Chubb a lot if they're dealing Hyde.

How are the Browns continually so stupid?

I don’t think it’s a bad move. Should they have shot for a fourth rounder? Maybe. They had a crowded backfield and Hyde at this point doesn’t offer huge upside when you already have a tough runner in Chubb, and Dukes a stud.

Also, thank you to Idz for bringing the whole situation with that to my attention. Just grabbed Chubb off waivers. I was in need of a runner.

Dude. Look, I’m all for physical football too. The roughing the passer rules have gotten ridiculous, and a lot of hits that are just heavy are flagged now, even if they’re clean. Hell, I play football mean and aggressive. I didn’t see the Bengals Steelers game, but Burfict is a maggot with no self control. Do I like to see or lay out a big hit? Hell yeah! Do I want anyone getting hurt? Hell no. Having to watch your team play, as a capable starter, and knowing that there’s nothing you can do, whether or not they win, is one of the most torturous things I’ve ever been through, and why would you wish anyone to miss a game or more of that wonderful sport? Or to have permanent injuries? I don’t care if you don’t like them, that’s crossing a line.

What he doesn't understand is this is a slippery slope. You injure a guy by playing dirty it spawns retaliation. It devolves from a football game to a melee really fast. If I want to watch a melee, I'll watch something without any sensible rules, like politics. Leave my football out of the mayhem. It's a professional sport. The players should act like professionals or find another line of work.

I’m really getting close to saying Tennessee needs a Q. Christ. The guy can never throw more touchdowns than picks. I mean, his completion percentage was good. Decent yardage production. But Christ. He turns the ball over once or twice a game. The hell happened to 2016 Marcus? I want him back. He was so fun to watch, even if he wasn’t a top 8 guy, he was a stud, and it was awesome. Why would they have confidence in the run game? It sucks. Also, what was the playcall? I have no TV, couldn’t watch.

Eh. I like going for it there, honestly. I can see both sides. Now, if we were IN LA, then you have to go for two. Giving Rivers the ballast home in OT? Not a risk I’m willing to take. Here, I like the aggression, but Christ. I’m also a heavy believer that, even if Mariota has sucked the past two years, you give him the football as much as possible inside the 20. That guy is lethal in the red zone, so if they ran it, terrible decision. Our backs aren’t built for that sort of play.

I like the pass honestly. Not a great play call in and of itself, but I like that they passed it. Marcus had to pull the trigger just a bit quicker than he wanted, looks like to me. And honestly, it looked like a catchable ball.

Found it on Twitter. Not a spectacular call, but looked to me like he had to pull the trigger faster than he wanted because of interior pressure. Probably Brandon Mebane. Either way, winnable game. That they let slip. Blown coverages from what I managed to find and the pick.
