I'm a teetotaller, not a big fan of sports, can't play music to save my life, reading books isn't social, gym costs too much.

Running, using a public pool, exercising, etc are not gyms. I do some running, swimming and exercising because I can do so for free, I'm not paying an over-priced subscription to use some gimmicky machines.

the meaning of gym has changed and it's not about a place but a state of mind where one's experiences physical hard work in order to produce a change no matter the reasoning.
