IIRC, his subscriptions were slowly but surely starting to stagnate lately, at least compared to new, actually left-wing players like Three Arrows and Contrapoints.

He's definitely been running out of steam for a while now. His only real appeal was being a gateway from New Atheism to the alt-right, and at this point I don't think there's that big a market of gullible New Atheists left to grift.

There's truth to both of that. Neoliberal economics are definitely a thing that has harmed the left, but it's also true that, in terms of value systems, most leftist movements seem to value the same cultural ideas as the bourgeois. It leads to a situation where many see anarchist groups as just extreme social liberals.
