The elections. It does not matter and which point, a more "social democrat" progressive would win. There are several democrats with a policy similar to her, but they add something to their flavor. Like Tulsi Gabbard, or even just Bernie sanders.

Not allowed, the thread decided that your arm must permanently be doing funny salutes in the general direction of the orange man

I always thought the media were just ignorant idiots but the way the Journalist IMMEDIATELY changed the conversation and looked like he shat himself live on air leads me to believe these chucklefucks who lie about socialism = state constantly know exactly what they are doing.

While the actual policy may still have issues in your eyes it's apparently only that type of tax rate if 10 million would be the final 30%

That's still unacceptable. I don't care if you only tax 70% for every dollar over 1 quadrillion USD, it's unacceptable.

This is literally one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard. Apparently you don't what slavery is, because it's not a 70% top marginal tax rate on $10 million. Jesus.

I was being hyperbolic geez. If the government can take more than half of your income, it may as well own you, whether you make 10K a year, or 10 trillion a year.

Not what a marginal tax rate is. (Nice backpedal btw.)The Xenopolis Confederation wrote:They're bad because the government doesn't have a right to more than half of your income, that's screwed up.
The government absolutely has a right to tax their population at whatever rate they decide--that's literally part of being a government. Taxes are a necessary part of civilization. Don't take economic advice from Atlas Shrugged.

Governments do not have rights. Constitutions around the world guarantee them powers, but not rights, which are exclusive to man and citizen. Taxation is a social convention, and the scope of taxation can only be to the degree that it is willed by those who have rights.Byzconia wrote:The Xenopolis Confederation wrote:I was being hyperbolic geez.
