If you look at it with you head tilted at an unnatural angle and squint it's sort of right.

It became very popular for Soviet-model supporters to put Marxist-Leninist in brackets after the name of their local Communist party mainly because they wanted to create a distance between Stalin and themselves. Basically, Stalin being such a bastard was one of the main reasons people were so keen to rope off Stalin as being a separate thing and market themselves as this distinct "Leninist" thing, even when the leadership of their particular party were often unrepentant tankies and barely better people.

So sure, he didn't "found" it, but the term wouldn't be so widely used without him so he has some level of responsibility for the vocabulary.
