Good you should vote for me
NS Parliament: Arnold Delbert; National People's Party

This nation is not entirely representative of my views. I've had some fun with the stats and I want to keep them that way.

And like others I would have you relieved of command

You stand on no authority to do so. You are relieved of your position for insubordination.

That's not your authority, that's the alleged reason you want him relieved

Fact of the matter is he has discretion on this operation so if he says shoot, then you shoot.

You are relieved for insubordination, reckless driving, endangerment of your entire crew, and conspiracy. You are then court martialed and imprisoned in a military prison for two life sentences.

What about the following scenario?

After news of the exterminatus of the Xenos world reaches Terra, you soon recieve an urgent message while in deep space; the message is from the Imperial Naval Command Council. The message urges you to return to Terra; the council had to cave to public opinion, and they seek to haul you before a tribunal and try you for war crimes (Never-mind that they were the ones who gave the order...). Knowing the political corruption found in the Imperial Judiciary, the committee would almost certainly be a "kangaroo court/show trial", where the guilty verdict has already been decided. Do you return to Terra for all-but-certain death? Or do you flee into space, becoming a renegade against Imperial Human Space? Or do you do something else entirely?

The Republic, by Plato | Leviathan, by Thomas Hobbes | The Confucian civil service system of imperial China | The "Golden Liberty" elective
monarchy system of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth | The corporatist/technocratic philosophy of Henri de Saint-Simon | The communitarian
ideological framework of the Singaporean People's Action Party | "New Deal"-style societal regimentation | Kantian/Mohist/Stoic philosophy

There's an excuse to obliterate Earth. Tell them I'm returning, then when I get close enough push the big shiny red button saying 'Do not push'.

If my superiors gave me a planet-destroying weapon, it kind of implies they want me to use it. And it doesn't count as a crime against humanity if they're not even human, right?

But if it were completely up to me, I wouldn't kill them all off, just enough of them to send the bastards back to the stone age before occupying the planet.

Well I have a massive fucking planet killing weapon. So I just travel back and play Mexican standoff with all of earth. Make me god emperor, or Ill push the big button. And if you try to shoot me down, Ill push the button anyways.
Im a slightly Authoritarian Moderate, I believe limited monarchies are the best systems of government, and that every 2016 presidential candidate was an idiot.
I personally feel that most people, in the act of trying to sound smart, often usually don't know what the fuck they are talking about.
