If you're going to play NDSU in the FCS Championship, might as well just forfeit and not even show up. I learned this the hard way after JSU played them there a couple of years ago.

Well this was definitely not the way I wanted Alabama's season to end. But oh well, it's the life I choose to live. So how about those offseason topics?

I wish it could have been against someone other than Clemson, but it's strangely refreshing to see Alabama implode :P

Wow I am disappointed at this. For one it's not a close game like I wanted, and two Alabama isn't winning like I wanted. Hell I'd say the halftime show with Imagine Dragons and Lil Wayne is more interesting than the game itself.

Just think Alabama will have the same bad times as your team sometime in the next 20 or so years.

I’m disappointed as well. My sister did her undergrad at Clemson so I’m honor bound to cheer for them. But I expected a close game, not a blowout.

I, on the other hand, am glad that Alabama lost.

But then again, I am a fan of an SEC Rival. Soooo....there's that.

Anyways,

Congratulations to the Clemson Tigers for winning the CFP National Championship. I am now going to edit in that game score into the table I posted yesterday (or was it the day before...)

I wanted Clemson to win, but I definitely hadn't anticipated a 28-point win margin. I'd like to see some other teams start making the game, though.

I've also noticed that the Big 10 actually didn't come out ahead in number of wins. reference link

Alabama loses one game, and now everyone is all "Fire Nick Saban. Alabama's going 0-12 next year. Gut the program and while we're at it gut the school as well!". Wouldn't be an Alabama loss without it.

In other news, Jalen Hurts has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. Doesn't mean 100% that he's leaving Alabama, but that he's keeping his options open.

As a Bama hater, I wish they would do all those things :P

Also, can't blame Hurts. Tua seems to be the guy there. For his own prospects, transferring makes the most sense.

At least if he does leave he'll do so as one of the greats in Alabama history. Specifically because of the Georgia game.

The asterisk should be next to the SEC because LSU is the national champions because they beat UCF in the national championship game.

What was the last championship team that represented a university of which a doctoral graduate could be proud?

Not Alabama. Not anyplace in the SEC other than Vanderbilt,

Not Clemson not anyplace in the ACC other than Virginia and Duke.

My conclusion is that the better you are at football, the more stupid is you institution.,
