I'm skeptical of that. If breathing it in harms you, why wouldn't ingesting it? It doesn't cause cancer through chemical means, but rather physical ones. Basically, why is eating a bunch of cell-popping needles less dangerous than breathing a bunch of them?

If they can never win? A vote for a candidate who cannot possibly gain a majority is the same as a vote that wasn't cast at all. Voting for anything else than a big party that is most aligned with you in a FPTP system is wasteful. It is technically a vote for your preferred candidate, but you helped the big opposition party almost as much as if you had voted for them instead.

Asbestos is dirt cheap - one of the reasons it was used for so long. It doesn't really need to be evil and nefarious - just looking to save a buck compared with other insulation materials that are more expensive.

I actually work in asbestos testing these days. Vermicullite textured ceilings containing asbestos actually isnt a huge health concern for occupants of a given house. Where the danger comes from is remodeling houses that contain it or tearing them down, as this will disturb the substances and allow a lot of particles into the air and environment.

Any other president would be trying to build on a strong economy. They would also be preparing to govern from the centre after a midterm defeat. But Mr Trump’s story is driven by betrayal. His politics lives by that narrative and will eventually die of it. The question is what else he will take down with him
