I doubt any of those things would ruin America, although I don't think many of them would be good for the US in the long run. I'm filthy globalist scum though and think that isolationism and abandonment of one's allies will leave the US much more weakened, even if the relationship is lopsided with many allies or international bodies.

More accurately, nationalism cannot be destroyed, only temporary transferred or suppressed. A single government for the entire planet would, without doing anything particularly undesirable during or beforehand, be fleeting by its very nature.

No it wouldn’t. Even with direct vote of the president the democrats and republicans wouldn’t change and smaller parties would actually get smaller.
