I mean, responding to someone who has constantly referred to Trump supporters and Trump's base as a "cult" and "cultists," is it really that much of a stretch to assume he was referring to Trump supporters when he said "Cultist Rioters?"

So you're saying all Trump supporters would riot?

Trump this week called for Senate passage of the First Step Act, which the House passed months ago. The bill would fund prison education and vocational-training programs, loosen some mandatory-minimum sentences and extend a 2010 law that helps drug offenders serving excessively long federal sentences. (Violent offenders aren’t eligible for reduced sentences.)
It also would move low-risk inmates closer to their home communities to more readily allow family visitation — which is strongly tied to successful reentry and lower recidivism.
Trump has it right: “We’re all better off when former inmates can receive [a second chance] and re-enter society as law-abiding, productive citizens.”

Mhmmm, just as I suspected. Expect Haley on the 2020 ticket.

Is... Is Trump doing something right? Are congressional republicans supporting progressive societal reforms? Did hell freeze over? Did I slip into an alternate universe while I wasn't looking? What year is it? WHAT YEAR IS IT???

Or trying to cushion his own impending rough landing in prison.

Depends how the next year goes really, but I can just feel it in my bones that Haley is being groomed for 2024. Trump doesn’t need Pence anymore, he’s won over the evangelical right. So, depending on how popular trump is a year from now, I think we can realistically expect Haley be the 2020 VP nominee, not only to make inroads with women voters, but also to launch her for 2024. And with very little to offer from the Democrats in ways of candidates, that looks to be a very successful move.

Oh I agree with 2024 (or possibly later, since the odds that the Democrats will retake the WH in 2024 are pretty good if they don't in 2020, and Haley seems like a keeper, not someone to run a losing campaign), but I don't know if Trump's VP is where they'd want to launch her from (or where she would want to launch from, especially if it looks like he's struggling heading into 2020).
