I don't know about worse but where I am it's the same under Trump it was under Obama; backwater and poor.
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.

Combined with Trump's stance on Japan, I wonder how much influence George Friedman's geopolitical thinking has had on Trump; we know back in 2012 Mitt Romney was reading up on his thinking. I personally own The Next 100 Years and The Next Decade, with Friedman largely being right with incredible accuracy so far.

Friedman is a bit of a meme. He's predicted some fairly wacky off-base stuff, read "the Coming War With Japan". I like Stratfor, though.

Trump also doesn't read books, so I don't know how much of an influence Friedman could have had on him.

Iunno, how many people voted for Donald Trump, or even Johnson? That'd likely give you a ballpark.

We're not going to control the pandemic!

It is a slaughter and not just a political dispute.

"The scraps of narcissism, the rotten remnants of conspiracy theories, the offal of sour grievance, the half-eaten bits of resentment flow by. They do not cohere. But they move in the same, insistent current of self, self, self."

The fact that you felt the need to not believe something I said I wouldn't do shows some decent projection skills.

Flynn (and by extension, Michael Ledeen) had a lot of influence over his thinking before he was fired. If you look at The Field of Fight, that seems to have had some impact on Trump's thinking (though not on all topics). That book proposes forming an anti-Islamic, anti-Iran alliance with Russia.

Friedman predicted that Russia would decline and collapse, I'm not sure how that factors into Trump's views on the country.

Considering your efforts in chastising Tel, it’s hard to imagine you wouldn’t do it, although I admit I should have given you the benefit of the doubt.

Well maybe you'll support Democrat proposals to sort out health care in the future rather than republican ideas that favour the insurance industry. :)
