I feel so happy today despite some rocky roads! ^^

Oh, be safe now! I hope you'll recover as fast as lightning! If you know what I mean :P Seriously though, get well, pal!

mostly cause being a prince/princess is a LOT easier.

Prince and Princesses are epitomes of youth with some power. You may not have the same power as a King or a Queen, but hey, you're young, you're a royalty, and the world's an oyster!

Granted, there are young kings and queens in history, but because of the shows and movies, when you think king or queen, you think, "Oh crap, that senile hag again."

Meanwhile I think the best way to die would be a heart attack when a teacher asks me a question.

The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

After, because Mrs. Mermania would have killed him.

The town centre is closed off and lots of local food companies set up stalls.

One of the big things is that a bunch of traditionally-dressed folks appointed by a large local landowner go up and town tasting the food/drink, declaring that it's acceptable and wholesome and saying "God save the Queen" a lot. We have silly traditions.

Not sure if a fan, I can't be fully immersed unless there's also a physician running about offering mercury enemas to balance the humours and several syphilis-infested ladies of the night to ward off plague.

Tricorn hats, jabot, ceremonial robes. Think of a town crier and you've got the basic idea.
