Was about €1,500 for my brother if I remember correctly, but a part of that was an additional premium for being a male driver, which I believe is a policy not long for this world up there.

Was €6,200 a year for comprehensive while I was driving up there, would have shot down a good bit were I still an Irish driver by 26, though.

A universe, or a multiverse, is theorised. There is probably a fireworks of universes going in and out of existence, and the explosion for ours happened 13+ billion years ago.

I still cannot wrap my head around this. There has to be a beginning somewhere, even if there is going to be no end to this exploding chain of universes.

I suppose we may not know the answer for now.

If you live to see age 83 you will be 30,000 days old during that year. You can get your head around a number like that. If you live to be 114 years old you will be 1 million hours old that year, fat chance. So don't worry, 13+ billion years is something no one can really get their heads around. Just consider your own beginning and ending... on second thought, don't dwell on that either. Why waste time?

True, true.. I don't always think about that, mind you, but sometimes, it just hits you a little as you are watching your own hands and thought, "How am I here?"

The answer was usually "My Mom," but I was just wondering how. It's also fascinating how this exact set of people (your family, your friends, the people in this dear NS) is next to impossible to exist ever again.

We probably could have been blown up in Cold War, what with the tension and all, but common sense won that day (there were blackouts and dead telephone lines to important comm facilities, but the officers there always do a second check like "Where are the Russians on the radar?")
