It is truly a terrible analogy. But this a poster who like others has defended the actions of cops in every thread there has been discussion about them no matter what they do.

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-ne ... er-exodus/

According to some reports there has been a exodus of police from Seattle. The head of the union claims officers are leaving due to poor morale and hostility from the city council. One city council member as highlighted in one of the articles called several police officers murderers before all the facts were known after a recent shooting.

However recruitment reports show there is no exodus of cops. In fact the number of officers hired outpaces those who are leaving and the number of police is at its highest level ever.

The two articles cited do point out a larger problem of police not getting the respect they deserve. There is a lot of mistrust in some communities regarding the police force and a lack of rapport.

That being said I do not believe police are infallible and they should be held accountable for their actions as they are public servants whose job it is to protect and serve the community. That does not mean their should be hostilely towards them. Nor should their be this brotherhood like attitude in the department that a police officers actions should not be questioned.

The department has been making efforts to reduce hostility and build a rapport. They recently got in on the Police lip sync challenge and they did a fantastic job.

What's your take NSG?

So it's not that cops aren't leaving, it's just that more new cops are coming in. Doesn't mean there is or isn't an exodus among the current members of the police force.

So that officer in Salt Lake City was totally in the right and should not have been fired? The patient was under sedation and could not give consent under the law for a blood sample. But the nurse should have just obeyed him and as a result would have been fired for violating hospital protocol and Utah law.

That officer did not make a mistake and was not wrong in anyway?

Why should police have unions anyway? We don’t let soldiers unionize, police fulfill a similar purpose.

Clearly this is caused by the anti-police attitudes promoted by aggressive black nationalists and their liberal allies who oppose effective policing as a way of throwing a jab at republicans. The police do so much for us. I tell you, these people will whine about how bad cops are but as soon as trouble comes their way they quickly dial 911. One day, there won’t be any cops to help them or anyone else.

I’ve met many cops who say they quit policing because of the flak they get from black nationalists and liberals. Conservatives are tough on crime right now, so the liberals think allying with black nationalists will be a strategically good move. But black nationalists are criminals who cloth their activities in political fancy dress. They are not a political movement, but a bunch of organised crime gangs that use the same ideology as a tool to fight the police and allow them to establish dominance in ghetto neighborhoods and dominante the local drugs trade. Black radicals, like Huey Newton, were major drug kingpins. The liberal alliance with black nationalism will backfire horribly with repercussions for all of us.

I'm a liberal and I have tremendous respect for cops. In fact I took the police exam in my city not too long ago so your assertions are generalization.

Im sorry that I dont think police officers are infallible and can do no wrong.

Your claim that there will be no cops is utterly absurd.

Well its like in a video game. You can have temporary invulnerability. Say when you activate a Kayle Ult or a Taric Ult, your character is 100% invulnerable to damage for a duration.

Hence for parts of the game, a character is Invulnerable, in other parts of the game, they are Vulnerable. At any point in time, it is possible for a character to be completely protected from damage.

I mean you can't be mostly infallible. You're either infallible or not. Police are human, and therefore fallible.

Okay let's back up a second. Infallible means "incapable of erring". Police are by no means incapable of erring. In fact just in capital crime cases there's about a 4% wrongful conviction rate.

then there is no such thing as temporary invulnerability in video games (but this is not true)
