Side note: I don't know how it is in USA; but here if in other times abortion is done in hospital (we have same hospitals, just different floors for different reasons, we don't have "abortion clinic"), then in this epidemic time, people will just get pill, and do it at home. Unless there is some reason they need to do with surgical method, then they will go to hospital.

As someone with experience, it's way, way, way better to do it in hospital, as side effects of the pill can be really terrible and then you would need to go to hospital anyway..
But desperate times, I get it.

Mostly, the US has clinics that specialize on the procedure. Not hospitals. Although more complicated procedures are done at hospitals, like say, still-births.

Abortions are extremely safe. They are not done in hospitals here unless there are complicating, underlying health concerns. They are done in doctors offices or clinics specifically for abortions.
