Let's not forget Savita Halappanavar, as well, who would have lived if she were not denied an abortion. In her specific case, the life of a 17-week-old fetus - which doctors had told her miscarriage was unavoidable - was more important than her 31-year-old life; resulting in complications with the pregnancy leading to her death.
That case led to Ireland's law being changed and ultimately this historic vote in 2018: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty-si ... of_Ireland
I'm aware of the outcome, doesn't change the fact that I'm still mad as hell she was allowed to die in the first place.
