The post I was replying to was claiming that red hair is common in Ireland, Scotland, and England. It is not common in any of those places. It is rare everywhere.

Substantially more common than in other places. Especially amongst ethnic East Asians and Amerindians, wherein it is non-existent.

And at any rate, the other poster was arguing from an ethnic standpoint (although they did stray a bit into racialism and a weird Jewish conspiracy thing), not merely about geographic distribution.

It's a bit weird when even the Dutch historical narrative is driven to prove him wrong. Part of the causes of the Dutch Golden Age was the attraction of many many, migrants to it's cities to work as uneducated workers for its merchant marine, bakeries, sugar refineries.
