I don't. I support stacking it with originalists and textualists.

I have seen a number of "textualist" arguments. Conservative appointments seem rather worryingly willing to overlook Republican antiprotest laws.

It's almost like demographic groups are a thing.

And California is a majority non white state at this point. Meaning your man Cox has virtually no chance of winning.

That's such a stereotype and borderline racist.

My source is that literally the entire legal field considers it to be one of the worst decisions in history because of how nonsensical it was lol, right on the same level as Korematsu and whatnot.

No such thing anyway. Judicial philosophy is a farce, it's all just motivated reasoning. It would be better for the country if we could get passed the mythology of the neutral arbiter, and recognize that the conflict in the courts is at its heart a political and moral conflict.

I am assuming he feels that treating non-white voters as monolithic supporters of Democratic candidates and policies as being racist.
This ignores the fact that large majorities of non-white voters do support Democratic candidates and policies however.

Err Newsom is white.

Cox won't make it for many reasons. Anti-abortion. Hard core Christian. Club for Growth. Anti-LGBT. Anti-Enviro. Pro Gun. Pro wall. Anti social security. Indecency rule., etc. etc.

Being white is not why he won't be elected.

Err Newsom is white.

Cox won't make it for mean reasons. Anti-abortion. Hard core Christian. Club for Growth. Anti-LGBT. Anti-Enviro. Pro Gun. Pro wall. Anti social security. Indecency rule., etc. etc.

Being white is not why he won't be elected.

I am well aware that Newsom is white. Cox won't be elected for those reasons as well. His positions alone make him unelectable.

His positions are not in line with a majority of California. He has no chance of winning. Hes not going to make inroads into the parts of the state nessacaery for victory.

Kind of like how the Democrats have no way of winning the Senate.

Here is a question for you.

In previous conversations, you have said that elected politicians should do what the people want, based on polling.
Should that not follow then that Cox should be promoting availability for abortion since 57% of Californian's support the abortion in most or all circumstances?

The Republicans aren't leaving us much choice. Expanding the court or recalling them to tilt the balance our way would be 100% as legal, Constitutional, and ethical as Republicans declaring that they will simply no longer entertain SCOTUS nominations from Democratic Presidents in order to tilt it theirs.

There is a higher chance of them winning the Senate then John Cox has of becoming Governor of California
