Well perhaps not Michigan but several muslim majority cities. I wonder why no Muslim elected to office in the United States has pushed for Sharia Law. Could it be that they dont support it?
A Muslim being elected to a statewide office would be a wonderful thing but their religion should not matter though. Someone ought to be elected on the basis of who is best for the job and by nothing else.

Mr. Ellison is running to be the top law enforcement officer of his state. A Attorney General is bound to enforce the law of that state. Plus he is not running as a Muslim candidate and it will probably only come up if his wacky opponent brings it up which given his history and extreme views it would not be shocking.
