Best free webhost

Hello!

I am looking to start a website for state-run-media and such, I don’t have a server to host a website off of though. I could use Github Pages, but I don’t know how advanced they are...I am still learning HTML anyway...anyway, what are good FREE web Hosters to do that kind of thing? I wants LOTS of customizability...like inserting code, all that...would you say Github pages is my best bet? I already have a domain name.

If you really want the most functionality, Github Pages is probably the way to go. It's hard to find webhosting for free that isn't incredibly shady, especially with what you are looking for.
