Given the reasonable unprobability of achieving such a goal and yet its high degree of vagueness that can easily be manipulated by you I'd say that makes a rather good life goal. Not only are you unlikely to ever reach it in your lifetime thus extending utility greatly but you can keep shifting the goalposts to double the effect or allow your self temporary milestone satisfaction.

The world wouldn't be better that way because what about that tiny tree in front of my school?

I too have a tiny tree. I got a little spruce or whatever conifer that I got in elementary school as a sapling. It’s been transplanted with me and now it’s getting to be a big strong tree. Still a way to go, but it’s grown considerably.
