Well to be more exact, i yelled stop that kid, and the monk snapped his neck of his own accord.

That just sounds like a typical DnD session to me.

The kid rolled a nat one when he was neck snapped by the monk, so i justified it by saying it was assisted suicide.

I have no room to talk, my DnD party at one time came very close to burning down an entire inn (with a baby inside the building) to burn all the witnesses to the party's actions after having accidentally been drugged from the stoner psion in the party accidentally blowing up an abandoned apothecary. Plus we routinely used dead enemies as trap-testing meat shields, and I do believe at one point escaping a castle dungeon my 8 foot tall dragonborn bard used a dead guard as an improvised flail...

And to keep this DnD sidetrack related to the topic of metal music, ever since I first saw this meme I cannot get rid of the mental image of the aforementioned bard flying through the air, breathing fire, and playing some absolutely sick guitar solo:
Image

The party still hasn't decided what metal song should be Hkiral's anthem. I mean, probably something to do with dragons for obvious reasons, but if metal music were banned, we would have a much harder time than we already are in deciding what metal song best fits the bard!

Slight detours is how the Austrian death metal combo Pungent Stench ended up with funk elements in their depraved compositions.

Granted, I'm hardly a hardcore metalhead, my music tastes are extremely eclectic and it's not particularly weird for my playlist to go from Manowar to Garth Brooks to Lindsey Stirling to Dragonforce to Linkin Park to Two Steps from Hell to some obnoxious Jpop thing I can never remember the title to, so.... :p

Ahh, Fire and the Flames. Saw it in Guitar Hero, also saw it in Tap Tap Revenge (RIP). All the clicks and taps you gotta do on the very first minute. :P And headbanging, don't forget the headbanging and hair twirl. I personally won't try that, because I would love to sleep without neck pain.

Ooh, sounds like you have a diverse music library. I'm also kinda like that, with music from all genres.

Also, this. Come on, none of you can deny the awesomeness death metal can give.

Ahh yes, long hair. Like this!

Hehe, rap is also pretty cool. DMX is good IMO, but for some reason, I never get into Eminem's music. I'm sure they're nice, but I just didn't really listen to them.

I think I should go to a metal concert at least once. It was said that even after all the "violent and murder" music, the metalheads are one of the nicest groups out there.

Eminem is cool, though N.W.A and Childish Gambino win. Anyway, sometimes you just gotta listen to some things, and not others. Metalheads are cool people. Violence and murder music doesn't really affect a person. It's just an arrangement of sounds.

Seems to be my experience from the two concerts I've been to. A friend of mine who is far more of a metalhead than I am has often raved about what a good time she's had and how nice the band members are and how generally chill everybody is with eachother at the bajillion metal shows she's been to.

These 25 subgenres come from a listing at the metalinjection website.

You would need to do a forced-choice approach to arrive at who to ban first. Seriously, some of this approaches elevator music!

Alternative Metal – Basically late 90s, early 00 radio rock like Korn, Disturbed and Papa Roach
Nu Metal – Korn is listed here again, obviously, other acts include Drowning Pool, Mudvayne, Sevendust
Hard Rock – This seems to mean classic rock like Van Halen, Whitesnake and Ted Nugent.
Groove Metal Modern mainstream metal like Machine Head, Trivium and Devildriver
Rap Metal – Not sure how this differs from nu metal, but featured acts include Linkin Park, POD, Limp Bizkit
Funk Metal – Faith No More, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers amongst the listed acts.
Metal – aka VH1 classic metal, like Iron Maiden, King Diamond and Motorhead
Metalcore – Warped Tour metal like Atreyu, Bullet for My Valentine and All That Remains.
Speed Metal – Similar to just Metal, features Megadeth, Accept, Slayer
Melodic Metalcore – Basically, the new wave of American heavy metal like Killswitch Engage, Darkest Hour, Unearth
Industrial Metal – Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Orgy, Powerman 5000, Static X
Progressive Metal – Queensryche, Dream Theater, Symphony X
Power Metal – Sabaton, Firewind, Edguy
Death Metal – Death, Obituary, Deicide, Dying Fetus
Thrash Metal – Slayer, Testament, Anthrax, Exodus, Kreator
Glam Metal – Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, Dokken
Melodic Death Metal – basically Swedish metal, In Flames, Soilwork, Dark Tranquility, etc.
Neo Classical Metal – Kamelot, Stratovarius, Dragonforce
Symphonic Metal – Epica, Within Temptation, Nightwish
Death Core – Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, Carnifex
Gothic Metal – Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation
German Metal – Edguy, Rage, Helloween
Gothic Symphonic Metal – Epica, Delain, Leaves' Eyes
Stoner Rock – Orange Goblin, Fu Manchu, High on Fire
Folk Metal – Eluveitie, Tursias, Finntroll, Moonsorrow

I did not even know "Folk Metal" was a thing. Seriously?

If we're gonna ban music based off their "message" start with Rap and Trap, and end with Despacito.

If it is the government’s responsibility to protect society, should heavy metal music be banned? Clearly, heavy metal should be restricted and controlled, maybe we don’t have to ban all of it, maybe only some? Maybe violence and anger aren’t necessary for musical stlye and we can have decent heavy metal sounding music to satisfy angsty teens. Clearly, music full of rage emotions is not healthy for people to consume.
