Your admiration for Xi Jinping is misplaced. He's reverted back to a more authoritarian style of government from what China had a few years back, and he only supports free trade when it benefits Chinese interests. He doesn't have any ideological commitment to the idea of the free market.

It'll be good riddance when he leaves office.

Admiration is an extreme exaggeration. Xi did relax the One Child Policy, ended labour camps and is tackling corruption. And free trade isn't a question of Chinese interests, it's a question of global interests. Neo-isolationism (specifically protectionism) is the biggest thread to global stability, sadly China and the EU are the only ones to recognise this.

Shit like this is why the left is a bad meme.

It's a 'taken out of proportion' joke. And anyway, making education available to the Chinese would hinder our own tech advancement.

Hillary Clinton is absolutely right about the People's Republic of China as a major political threat. It appears we are entering a new Cold War. Also, here is a daily reminder from fellow NSer and Chinese emigre Dawetid: "This body which called itself and still calls itself the People's Republic of China was in no way Chinese, nor of the people, nor a republic."

China is ripping us off, stealing our technology and research and using it to build a massive navy, we're supposed to just accept that? What you're saying is akin to China invading Hawaii and saying we can't fight back because war threatens global stability.

Got it. So once we make education unavailable to the Chinese, do we do that for Africans as well? "them blacks might have ulterior motives. make a sixth column"

We’re not political/militarily/economical rivals with pretty much any African nation.

But we can even compare with the might that is the Zimbabwean nuclear program!

Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.

If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.

Because it will create a media frenzy and make everyone pay attention to him.

That's true, but he's notoriously fussy with who's on his staff, continually firing people just for disagreeing with him too often. Just to get hired requires his belief in your loyalty, as does keeping the position.

I think his point is this: that the PRC is so devoted to its abstract ideal of revolution and communist utopia that they are rejecting and even destroying traditional Chinese culture.
