That sounds like a bad reason to me. Would you like to live in a country which is divvied up between oligarchs and has an emigration issue?

Treating politics as a zero sum "us vs. them" sporting event is precisely why I hate keeping up with politics. It's also probably one of the largest sources of disunity in a given nation.
