I imagine politicians would allow it to go on to bully voting blocs redraw districts and impeach judges a short and quick reset button minus the hassle of a convention. Tbh I place the blame on the city government and the state of VA. They knew that the unite the right rally was going to happen and they knew that it was going to draw in protesters. They should have cordoned the protesters, made sure that they where separate and arrested those who crossed the line of police.
