It is rather irrefutable that the current administration has taken on a more Nationalistic identity and politics than previous administrations. Nationalistic politics, regardless of their exact intricacies, tend to follow the same general rhetoric. These sorts of comments and statements are just par for the course for nationalistic rhetoric and reasoning, regardless of reasoning. It's an Us vs. Them philosophy, and that frames how you discuss policy and politics.
