Which is very unhealthy for a country. There is a rot in America... A turnout rate of 55% for presidential elections... Not even counting those who have lost their civic rights, or those who are not registered...
That's not good. In any other democracy that would call for some introspection...

He's not even a watered down Mussolini yet. Trump started pretty late at all this at age 70 too, unlike the classic totalitarian types. Comparisons like this aren't any good.
Better to compare him to an American POTUS. That would be Nixon.

Britt Grant has already been appointed for the 11th Circuit court of appeals and has been through the senate Judiciary Committee but Trump could reappoint her to the Supreme Court. Which I think he’ll do as she’s pretty conservative and she’s young enough that she’ll be on the court for another 40+ years

An American Berlusconi, only more moronic and incoherent. Trumpusconi.

Now that I can actually respond, I doubt she's going to make it. Brett Kavanaugh is the name that EVERYONE is talking about. He's a former Kennedy clerk with what appears to be a good record in the judicial system and is also on Trump's list. My money is on him.

Are there any other candidates with cooler last names?

Ginsberg, Breyer, and Sotomoyor could all pass with Trump having enough time to make an appointment.

Ideally they'll all hang around until there's a dem Senate and white house, then immediately retire. Unfortunately republicans have made it so that there can't be a compromise candidate. It's a solid dem or a far right judge.

No, that does NOT mean he is free to use it from here on out, then it WOULD be political nicknaming.

I seem to remember a few republican house members being shot at last year. Obviously I'm not promoting that before anyone reads that line and turns rabid. I'm just saying that neither side trusts the morality or integrity of the other. The SCOTUS won't have any moral authority with 2 trump nominees on it. Many dems would hate every decision it hands down. I can imagine them turning on it given the way McConnell hijacked it.
