But it buys good schools, robust healthcare (in the USA), protection, big house... lots of networked allies for jobs and opportunities, gov contacts...

Can you honestly say a child is better off without those things just so that you can be a parent?

A big house isn’t necessary. I spent part of my childhood in a single wide trailer and was perfectly content.

I personally can say without a doubt that once I get out of college and get a better job and settle down, I could provide my future child with good schools, good healthcare, and a good life. I can’t provide government contacts but I could help my child get their first job.

Besides, I think a little hard work can make someone appreciate what they have more than if it’s just handed to them.

I really don’t know why you think that when 2 people have the same equal intention to be a good parent... that the fact that one party has infinitely more resources is irrelevant.

Clearly, you don’t have the child’s best interest at heart.

I want my children to be good, hard-working people, no matter what, that is what I believe is in their best interest.

Believe it or not, people can be average and happy, every one of my friends and family can attest to that.

I don't want to work myself into the ground for some measure of worth that's based on how much money I have or how big my house is.
I want to be happy, I want to live with the woman I love, have a full pantry, the water running, the bills paid and I will be more than happy with that.

Another thing a forgot to mention: every mother I know has mentioned the bond that formed when they held their children for the first time.

Just take that into consideration.

I would give Trump the baby so that when he brings it home and presents it to the rest of his family the bomb I implanted in the baby will go off and slaughter all of them.

Because that is her child, her legacy, her creation.

My mother had many kids, I have to count all of my siblings on two hands, and she told me that seeing us grow and experience what she experienced when she was that age, and seeing how differently we all reacted to it, created some of her most cherished memories.

To believe that the reason a mother or father wouldn’t give their child to a wealthy stranger was because they didn’t have their best interests at heart or don’t love them is purely asinine and pretty shameful.

1.) No, Donnie T does not get to raise my child for two reasons a.) that kid wouldn't exist without my already being prepared for the responsibility of raising offspring b.) I dislike trump as a person and would therefore be fundamentally opposed to him raising my kid to be like him
2.) I suppose on one level (the wealth and connections) I SHOULD hand over my child. However ethically I don't know that it is, how many other people have been offered this? To what end does The Don REALLY want my kid? What kind of deal is Don Trump offering me here? Too many variables...

I believe that after a great deal of deliberation, I would be forced to conclude that giving to Trump is the way to go.

Love means giving the kid d the best shot they have to be “successful” in life. And sometimes, that means going with different parents.

I mean think about it. He’s a president, he’s rich as a Lannister, he’s got allies everywhere. The kid will go to very high places with him. I must let go.

I'm certain your kid would experience no moral, social, or even political repercussions from such a hilariously stupid decision whatsoever.

*shrug*. The US voters have decided he is the most qualified person in the country to make important moral decisions, like "who do we declare war on", "which families do we break apart", "what coat do we wear when visiting people in need", "where do we build great big walls" etc. etc.

If he is the embodiment of morality of the most powerful country on the planet - who are we to call him unworthy ?

He's the president, not the pope. He's nobody's "embodiment of morality." And the entire point of the First Amendment is to give us the right to insult the president without fear of retribution. We weren't founded to bow on our knees before unquestionable leaders. In fact, we specifically rebelled against that sort of thing. Go back to Britain if you don't like people bitching about leaders.
