When you lose control in a high traffic area, that tends to happen. :(

From the eyewitness statements it appears there was no braking of the vehicle, just full speed after swerving into cyclists.

I don't know about you but I'm waiting for what the actual investigators say.

When they haven't said anything yet all we can do is theorised, guess, hope, read eye witness statements and drink coffee.

Or realise their are reasons we don't live in London, thank got we're about 400 miles away from the place and go to the theatre.

Well they've said there is no reason to believe it's terrorism, and that no-one has been left with life-threatening injuries (two individuals required hospital attention for non-serious injuries).

If this was a terrorist attack it's a very freaking poor excuse for one.

It's only natural that our terror output is slipping behind European rivals in both volume and quality. Foreign funding and skilled labour is draining away as the main terror manufacturers get nervous about a cliff-edge Brexit. ISIS Industries announced last week that they're delaying their new factory in Bradford, Qaeda Corp are talking about moving their London headquarters to Belgium.

During the Brexit transition we must support our domestic terrorists to keep the market vibrant. Corbyn's been on to this for years, but visionless Thatcherite free-marketeers have missed the opportunities. The Irish nationalists switched their main arms plant over to bath bombs in the late 1990s, but with the recent breakdown of their Assembly line there's a key opportunity for cross-hard-border investment to get them back to old tricks. If we can also get the Cornish into the game (perhaps nationalise the pasty industry and move it to Devon?) the entire sector could boom for years.

Terror

Just because you want to kill a lot of people, doesn't mean you're actually capable of pulling it off.

Incompetent terrorists are everyone's favourite kind.

The substantial number of barriers in that part of Westminster likely minimised the number of victims.

Corbyn is just as left-wing as the standard Labourite before the advent of New Labour, but even publications that are supposed to be "reputable" would rather just dismiss him as a loony.

Left wing newspapers are just as capable of talking absolute bullshit as their right-wing counterparts. Look at some of the garbage that the independent manages to drag up about Brexit, for example.

Can't help the fact that Brexit is garbage tbh

Sadly not. The barriers are there merely to protect the buildings themselves of Parliament, and the Palace of Westminster.

There are partial barriers on the footpaths around that area, just not where this incident occurred. I think there will likely be a push now to install bollards along the footpaths.

The independent does come up with some rather far-fetched stories though

Let's see examples, along with evidence they they're garbage then.

While that may be the case, I don't believe it's particularly notable in that regard to other big names in British print journalism.

Oh look, Corbin at a memorial for the terrorists who attacked the Israilis at the 1972 Olympics. Antisemitism and pro terrorist in the same picture. And he refuses to apologise. Too bad the Nazis were before his time, I’m sure he’d love to meet them.

Corbyn is such a turd. I have thought so for years before he entered the limelight.

Is there really that much difference between Corbyn being at the cemetary, and Netanyahu marking the 60th anniversary of the King David Hotel bombing at an event where a plaque was unveiled which British Diplomats had to demand be changed because of the anti-British wording?
