I voted Labour last time, even though the tory candidate has a big majority, but if it was today...with the big two so useless, and the third one being so anonymous, I'd be tempted to vote for the famous Cricket Umpire, even if he is representing UKIP.
It is a shame that the poll results on NationStates can't have filters applied to them, such as sorting by country of origin as determined by IP address, as I suspect that many of the people who are voting in the poll are not even in or from the UK.

Ya but at which point the Brexiters can then say that they actually left. Which they couldn’t say if they where in the EEA

Sure, I mean some Brexiteers call for that kind of no-deal Brexit with an instant and unilateral withdrawal from the EU; but these are the people who, if that actually happened, would be saying a few months down the line "Why has the cost of goods shot up? Why are some of the supermarket shelves empty? Why have I lost my job? Why can't I get spare parts for my car?" etc etc ad infinitum.

Also im a citizen of the Irish Republic by law and the Good Friday Agreement (and documentation). If i wanted i could hold British citizenship too as i would be allowed to do so by the Good Friday Agreement, but i have no interest in that.

Yup, its because there is a large minority of Irish people in NI so it was part of the peace agreement that ended the troubles. You can either be a Duel citizen of the UK and ROI, or just one of them.Thermodolia wrote:The Huskar Social Union wrote:Well who knows, with the rate this shit is going, NI might be part of the republic in the near future.

Lovely attitude. I didn’t know you’re French![]()
Also, all this speculation that NI might be one part of RoI, like the rest of the UK wants to keep it. It’s kinda funny...

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Technically, England, Wales and Scotland could leave the United Kingdom and leave only NI in it. Just think about it: the United Kingdom of Northern Ireland. The Albert Clock instead of the Big Ben.

Or if England left, the rest could be named the Celtic Remenant. Has a good ring to it, no?

There appears to be a misspelling in your post, but that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. How about calling this new state the Celtic Revenant? It has a nice, intimidating feel to it.
